Before Sunset - Reaction

More like a good play than a movie due to the quality dialog: rambling yet clever and deep as the characters try to feel each other out. Includes long, seductive camera shots as the characters wander Paris, but not so long as to be noticeable enough to distract from the action. Well, lack of action -- nothing happens beside the dialog and the subtle body language. But that's all okay. That's enough. Darker than the original.

The references to Nina Simone in the movie are great - especially because Nina often fell into great depression, as did those two (in fact, they seemed to bring out each other's great satisfactions and disappointments). It's also pleasing that they openly comment on the effects of age on each other in the movie - making it a much more honest portrayal of time than movies about aging otherwise are (I'm thinking of 'Live free die hard' here).
